Installing the Software

1)Q: Does the program run in Macs?

A: Yes! Finally it does run on Macs and on Linux platforms, too!.

2)Q: What are the requirements to run the software

A: -Windows XP and Vista. -You need to install the .NET Framework version 3.5 or higher (a Windows patch which you can download for free at the Microsoft site). If you do need it, the installation program will send you to the download site). The .NET Framework requieres about 150 MB -Magic Show Builder itself requires very little disk space, but as your database grows larger, it will need more space. 100 MB are quite sufficient. -You will need a mouse to navigate the program.

Using the Software

1)Q: Who has access to my secrets?

A: Only you have access to your secrets. They are never in a server but on your own computer, locked under a password

2)Q: On opening the software, it asks for a password. Which is it?

A: The default password is 1234 until you change it

3)Q: Can the software be installed on multiple units? such as desktop and a laptop?

A: The license works for just one computer, but additional licenses cost just $20. Without a license the program will run for 30 days before it locks.

4)Q: Can the tricks be stored in one computer and accessed from another?

A: You will need to make a backup copy of the database and copy it from one computer to the other. The program is not meant to run in a network.

5)Q: Can I get access to tricks other magicians have added?

A: Only if they give you a copy of their database (I doubt it).

6)Q: Is the database internal, or external through the internet?

A: The database is internal, in your computer. Your tricks are protected by a password. Only you have access to them.

7)Q: Would this help for non-magic performances as well?

A: It helps any kind of variety acts: puppet shows, ventriloquism shows, clown acts, pantomime, stand up comedians, theater troupés, School festivals, singers, music groups, speakers. etc. Anyone who has to stand up in a stage and perform.

8)Q: Can I try the program before I buy it?

9)Q: Does the manual teach you how to use the program?

A: The manual takes you by the hand on each and every one of the features. It also gives you a lot of tips on how to improve your show.
